Cancellation & Refund

Cancellation or postponement of the event by the booking party (customer)

The customer may cancel the flight-based event 7 - 60 days before the event date or reschedule the flight date at no cost.

In case of cancellation or reschedule shorter than the above-mentioned period, the following conditions apply.

  • 2 - 6 days before the flight date: 33 % of the total event price.
  • 24 hours (including "no-show") before the start of the event: 100% of the total price.

If the departure of the flight-based event is delayed because the booking party is not ready to board at the agreed time, Fly Helicopters has the right to cancel the event after a waiting period of maximum 30 minutes from the original start of the event and will be handled as no-shows. In case of a delayed departure, the customer accepts that the total event time might be shortened because of the delay.

All no-shows are not entitled to a refund of the total event costs. Customers with an onsite payment agreement receive an invoice for the event cancellation due at receipt.

Cancellation due to bad weather

If Fly Helicopters in Switzerland notify the customer just prior to departure that the flight may have to be canceled for meteorological reasons and the customer accepts the cancellation, the customer either gets a full refund or accepts a new event date.

If the customer accepts an alternative tour offered by Fly Helicopters in Switzerland that can be executed on the event day, a potential surcharge or refund will be agreed by both parties.

Cancellation due to technical and/or meteorological and/or operational reasons

Fly Helicopters in Switzerland and involved operators reserve the right to cancel the flight-based event for technical or meteorological or operational reasons.

In this case, the customer either gets a full refund or accepts a new event date.

Cancellation due to unpredictable circumstances

If Fly Helicopters in Switzerland and the providing operator must cancel the event due to unpredictable circumstances (even at a short notice) the customer receives a refund of the total costs of the event unless the parties agree to a reschedule of the event. Further claims are excluded.

Cancellation during flight-base event

If the ongoing event must be stopped ahead of schedule due to technical or meteorological reasons, Fly Helicopters in Switzerland will return the passenger as soon as possible to the place of departure. In this case, the customer either gets a partial refund or accepts a new event date.

Cancellation by the Pilots during the ongoing event

The pilot is the caption of the ship. His decision is the final word. So, if he thinks the weather is not suitable to conduct a successful journey or detect any technical inconvenience, he may cancel the flight. The passengers will get a refund.

The pilot as commander of the aircraft might cancel the whole flight or cancel passengers from the flight due to non-compliant reasons (e.g. influence under alcohol, drugs etc. or carrying weapons or sharp objects etc.). This cancellation will be handled as a non-refundable cancellation.
