Geneva

This French-speaking city lies in the southern region of Lake Geneva and embedded between the hilly terrain of the Jura and the nearby Alpine peaks. Headquarters of the Red Cross and Europe’ United Nations, it is known as the “capital of peace”. With humanitarian tradition and cosmopolitan flair, Geneva is a global hub for banking and diplomacy as well as a home for luxury watch industries. Besides being an International city in Switzerland, it is also a center for history and culture for exhibitions and trade fairs.

The old town lies over the left-hand shore, is the heart of Geneva because of the shopping and business quarters. Another prominent landmark of the Old town is St. Peter’s Cathedral. Place du Bourg-de-Four, which is the oldest square in the city is also located in the Old Town. Lakeside promenades, Quays, countless parks, elegant shops, and lively side streets in the old town attract visitors to stroll.
